According to a report from Football Insider, Arsenal are interested in signing West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus next summer. However, the player won’t come in cheap as he is one of the most important players for the Hammers.
Mohammed Kudus has good numbers
Mohammed Kudus made a name for himself during his stint at Ajax. Impressed by his performances, West Ham United decided to sign him in the summer of 2023, which turned out to be a good decision as the player has done excellent so far.
Kudus netted 18 goals and provided seven assists in 48 games last season. He averaged 2 shots, 0.8 key passes, and 3.8 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Ghana attacker is versatile to play in different positions in the final third. He is an excellent dribbler and likes to cross or shoot from a distance. He also provides immense defensive contributions, often making timely tackles.
Mohammed Kudus can strengthen Arsenal’s front line
Arsenal admire Mohammed Kudus a lot and have been linked to him for a long time. They want to add him at their disposal which is understandable as the player has high qualities and can help them immensely across all competitions.
Kudus is already showing his capabilities by making impactful performances. He has Premier League experience meaning he will take little time to adapt. Moreover, his versatility up front will allow Mikel Arteta to have more flexibility in the squad.
The 24-year-old is tied until 2028 with a contract at West Ham United. However, he has already expressed his interest in playing for a top-tier club. Though a summer move will be difficult to execute, the player might force his exit next summer. Irrespective of anything, Arsenal will have to splash a good amount to get his signature.
