According to the Daily Briefing, Arsenal are highly interested in signing Juventus attacker Dusan Vlahovic in the January window. The Premier League club believe the player can improve their attacking line immensely and help them in the title race.
Dusan Vlahovic is in lethal form
Dusan Vlahovic arrived at Juventus from Fiorentina for a massive €80 million price. Since then, he has established himself as a mainstay in the squad. He has put on impressive performances consistently to help the Italian club.
Vlahovic is continuing his good form in the 2024-25 campaign. He has already netted nine goals and provided one assist in 16 outings so far. He is averaging 3.3 shots, 0.5 key passes, and 0.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Serbian striker is physically strong and marks a good presence around the penalty box. He is an effective carrier of the ball, all thanks to his ball control and dribbling skills. He exploits the spaces intelligently and can shoot from a distance.
Arsenal looking for a new striker
Arsenal have been linked with multiple attackers over the past month. The latest addition to the list is Dusan Vlahovic, whose future remains uncertain. The player’s contract expires in 2026 and he is reportedly not keen on signing an extension.
Sensing an opportunity, the Gunners are planning to make a move in the January window. Vlahovic is already in red-hot form and his arrival will surely help Mikel Arteta‘s side. His play of style and qualities in the final third will be extremely useful.
Though the 24-year-old will probably cost a high amount, Arsenal have all the finances to pull it off. Apart from Vlahovic, the Gunners are also tracking the likes of Newcastle United attacker Alexander Isak and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres. It will be interesting to see how things develop in the coming weeks.
