In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that West Ham United are keeping tabs on Hoffenheim striker Adam Hlozek. It has been claimed that the Hammers are eager to get a deal done for the Czech Republic forward next year.
Hlozek’s Impressive Form In German Football
Hlozek has made a great start to this season in the Bundesliga as he has put in a few productive performances for Hoffenheim in the final third. The 22-year-old has banged in three goals and grabbed one assist in six matches for the German club during this campaign across various competitions.
The Ivancice-born talent has caught the eye at times on the offensive end of the field by averaging 2.3 shots, 0.3 key passes and 0.3 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He was even tidy when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half after making 76.3% of his attempted passes in the German first division (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at Hoffenheim will expire in the summer of 2029. Hence, the Hammers would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting Hlozek next year.
Is Hlozek A Good Choice For West Ham United Boss Julen Lopetegui?
Hlozek can engineer some space for himself to get a few shots in at goal and can be a decent finisher in the final third when he is playing with confidence on the field. He can create the odd chance for his teammates up top and can use his strong 1.88m frame to win a few 50-50 aerial duels for his team.
However, there are some concerns over whether the Czech Republic talent can adapt to the physicality and high intensity of the Premier League if West Ham manage to get him on board next year.
Hlozek would add more firepower to Julen Lopetegui’s frontline. He is good enough to offer some healthy competition for Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug at the East London club in the coming seasons.
At 22, Hlozek has the potential to be a future star in European football. Therefore, he would be a great choice for the Hammers to consider this January or at the end of this campaign. However, Lopetegui has to be patient with his progress before he can get the best out of Hlozek.
