Liverpool locked horns with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to secure a win on the road in the Premier League. The Reds made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the ninth minute when Bukayo Saka found the back of the net. However, Virgil Van Dijk equalised for the Merseyside club just nine minutes later before Mikel Merino fired Arsenal back in front again in the 43rd minute. Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time interval 2-1 down on the scoreline.
Mohamed Salah equalised for Liverpool in the 81st minute when he scored with a tidy finish. The match ended with the Reds playing out a hard-fought 2-2 draw at the Emirates.

He didn’t hesitate to clear the danger when needed and was tidy with his passing.

Van Dijk gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and managed to score Liverpool’s equaliser in the first half.
LB: Andy Robertson – 6/10
Robertson failed to cope with Bukayo Saka’s threat and offered very little in the opponent’s half.
CM: Ryan Gravenberch – 6.5/10
He anchored the midfield well and made one good run with the ball.
CM: Alexis Mac Allister – 6/10
Mac Allister failed to impress during his time on the pitch and was replaced after the hour mark.
RW: Mohamed Salah – 7.5/10
Salah caused some problems for his marker out in the wide areas and managed to score the all-important equaliser for the Reds in the 81st minute.
CAM: Curtis Jones – 6.5/10
He retained possession well in the Arsenal half but there was no goal for him.
LW: Luis Diaz – 7/10
Diaz caught the eye at times but failed to register a goal.
ST: Darwin Nunez – 7/10
He was a real handful for the opposition defenders and picked up an assist for setting up Salah’s equaliser late in the game.
