Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Aston Villa at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday afternoon as they look to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. Spurs managed to secure an impressive 2-1 win over Manchester City in the EFL Cup which should give them a lot of confidence ahead of this game.
Ange Postecoglu will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to name a strong first-team for this clash. Destiny Udogie, Pedro Porro and James Maddison could all play from the start of this game.
4-3-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Aston Villa
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario will feature in goal for the North London club after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Cristian Romero, who is a slight concern ahead of this game, will operate alongside Radu Dragusin at the centre of the Tottenham defence as they try to keep the visitors at bay during the 90 minutes.
Pedro Porro will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Destiny Udogie hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Postecoglu would allow both of them to get forward and express themselves in the Aston Villa half.
Ben Davies will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
James Maddison, Yves Bissouma and Dejan Kulusevski will make up Tottenham’s midfield as they look to keep the ball well at the centre of the park and create some inviting chances on the offensive end of the field.
Rodrigo Bentancur will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if Postecoglu opts to call upon his services.
Attack
Timo Werner could get a chance to impress as the left-sided wide player if he can recover in time for this Premier League clash. Brennan Johnson will operate as the right-sided wide player as he looks to put his pace to good use in the final third.
Dominic Solanke will lead the line for Spurs on his own up top. He would be keen on finding the back of the net after failing to do so against Man City in midweek.
