In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs hoping to sign Aston Villa star Jacob Ramsey. It has been claimed that Spurs would have to compete with Arsenal and Newcastle United in the race to land the English attacker next year.
Ramsey’s Good Run Of Form In The Premier League This Season
Ramsey has made a decent start to this Premier League season after he put in a few productive displays for Unai Emery’s side in the final third. The 23-year-old has scored one goal and secured one assist in ten matches for the Villans during this campaign in various competitions.
The English playmaker has proven his value in the opponent’s half by averaging 1.0 shots, 0.7 key passes and 1.5 dribbles per game in Premier League football. He has even been careful when distributing possession on the offensive end of the field, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 90.3% in the English first division (stats via whoscored).
Ramsey’s current contract at the West Midlands club will expire in the summer of 2027 which could make it tough for Spurs to snap him up on the cheap next year.
Is Ramsey A Decent Fit For Tottenham Hotspur Boss Ange Postecoglu?
Ramsey excels at finding some space for himself to get a few strikes in at goal and has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the opposition half. He is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can chip in by scoring and creating the odd goal for his side. However, the English talent has to find a way to improve his productivity in front of the opponent’s goal.
We can expect Ramsey to inject more firepower into Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglu’s frontline. He is more than capable of earning a regular first-team spot at the North London club.
At 23, Ramsey has still got a lot of room for improvement and could prove to be a success story at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the long run. He already knows the Premier League well and won’t take much time to settle into life at Tottenham. Therefore, Ramsey would be a great fit for Postecoglu’s needs next year.
