Newcastle United will lock horns with Everton at Goodison Park this Saturday evening as they look to secure maximum points on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to secure a 1-0 win over Wimbledon in the EFL Cup recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first team for this clash. Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Nick Pope could play from the start of this game.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Everton
Defence
Nick Pope will feature in between the sticks for the Magpies after being rested in midweek. However, he will be in a race against time to be fit from his recent knee injury. Dan Burn will function alongside Fabian Schar, who is a slight concern ahead of this game, at the centre of the Newcastle backline as they look to restrict the opposition attackers from scoring this weekend.
Kieran Trippier will fill in as the right-back if he can recover in time for this game while Lewis Hall hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Emil Krafth will be available for selection on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali will make up Newcastle’s midfield as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to retain possession well so that they can orchestrate some promising chances in the final third.
Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Harvey Barnes will look to put his pace to good use on the left flank while Jacob Murphy looks to prove his worth as the right-sided wide player. Anthony Gordon will spearhead Newcastle’s attack up top. He has to figure out a way to be a real threat in the final third.
William Osula and Miguel Almiron will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the latter stages if needed.
