In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Real Madrid are eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain prospect Warren Zaire-Emery. It has been stated that Los Blancos have identified the French midfielder as a target with Carlo Ancelotti hoping to strengthen his squad next year.
Zaire-Emery’s Impressive Form In French Football
Zaire-Emery has made a decent start to this campaign after he put in a series of impressive displays for the French giants at the centre of the park. The French youngster has made 11 appearances for PSG this season, scoring one goal across all competitions.
The 18-year-old has been a good contributor in the middle of the field based on his average of 2.3 tackles, 0.6 interceptions, 0.9 clearances, 0.8 key passes and 0.6 dribbles per game in the Ligue 1. He has even distributed the ball accurately from midfield, as evidenced by his pass success rate of 93.4% in the top tier of French football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at PSG will run out in the summer of 2029 which could make it difficult for Real Madrid to sign him on the cheap next year.
Real Madrid Are Eyeing A Move For Zaire-Emery: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Zaire-Emery is a solid tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to secure the ball back for his team inside his half. He usually puts his foot through the ball when the opposition are on the front foot.
The French whizkid has got the vision to engineer some promising chances for others around him in the opposition half and is a good dribbler with the ball as well. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also operate as a defensive midfielder if told to do so.
We can expect Zaire-Emery to add more quality to Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti’s midfield in the long run. He is already good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Madrid club.
At 18, there is no doubt that Zaire-Emery is a prospect to watch out for in the future. Therefore, Los Blancos would be wise to move in for him this January or at the end of this campaign.
