Everton entertained Newcastle United at Goodison Park earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a victory at home in the Premier League. The Toffees made a good start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
The Merseyside club were solid at the back in the second 45 minutes and managed to grind out a 0-0 draw in front of their home fans.

Pickford made a few important saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet at Goodison Park.
RB: James Garner – 7.5/10
He performed his defensive duties well and made one decent run with the ball.
CB: James Tarkowski – 7.5/10
Tarkowski made a lot of crucial clearances inside his half and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.
CB: Michael Keane – 7/10
He put his foot through the ball when he could and did enough to restrict the opposition from scoring.
LB: Ashley Young – 7/10
He was solid when defending at the back and made one good chance going forward.
CM: Abdoulaye Doucoure – 7/10
Doucoure got stuck in with a few crunching tackles and engineered some decent chances for others around him.
CM: Orel Mangala – 6.5/10
He earned the ball back once but offered very little in the final third.
RW: Jack Harrison – 6/10
Harrison struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced after the hour mark.
CAM: Dwight McNeil – 6.5/10
He caused some problems for the opposition defenders but didn’t do enough to register a goal.
LW: Iliman Ndiaye – 8/10
Ndiaye made a handful of dangerous runs with the ball but there was no goal for him.
ST: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 6.5/10
He caught the eye at times but never looked like he would score.
