Barcelona will entertain Bayern Munich at the Nou Camp this Wednesday night as they look to secure a positive result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Catalan club managed to earn a dominant 5-1 win over Sevilla recently which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.
Hansi Flick will set his men up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first XI for this clash. Both Dani Olmo and Frenkie de Jong could get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Bayern Munich
Defence
Inaki Pena will feature in between the sticks for Barca after conceding one goal in his last league outing. Pau Cubarsi will continue to play alongside Inaki Pena at the centre of Flick’s defence as they hope to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Jules Kounde will be a nailed-on starter at left-back while Alejandro Balde looks to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Hector Fort will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Pedri and Frenkie de Jong will anchor the midfield for Barcelona as they try to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. The talented trio of Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal will operate just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them need to combine well if they are to trouble the Bayern defenders in midweek.
Gavi, Ansu Fati and Marc Casado will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Robert Lewandowski will lead the charge for the Catalan club up top after scoring a brace against Sevilla last weekend. He would be eager to impress for Barca in the final third.
Pau Victor will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Barcelona are in need of a goal by then.
