Newcastle United clashed heads with Everton at Goodison Park earlier this evening as they hope to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time interval.
Eddie Howe’s men struggled to find the winning goal in the second half and had to settle for a lackluster 0-0 draw at Merseyside.

Schar earned the ball back once and did enough to keep a clean sheet.

He cleared his lines when needed and did well to limit the home team from scoring.
LB: Lewis Hall – 7/10
Hall was a positive influence at both ends of the field.
CM: Sandro Tonali – 7/10
He earned the ball back once but was a bit untidy with his passing.
CM: Bruno Guimaraes – 7/10
Guimaraes made a couple of important interceptions at the centre of the park but lacked quality in the final third.
CM: Joelinton – 7/10
Joelinton caused some headaches for the Everton defenders but struggled to make a difference in the opponent’s half.
RW: Jacob Murphy – 7/10
He came back to defend when he could but offered very little on the offensive end of the field.
ST: Anthony Gordon – 6/10
Gordon managed to shine at times but missed a penalty this evening.
LW: Harvey Barnes – 6/10
He failed to get into the rhythm of the contest and was substituted after the hour mark.
