Chelsea faced off against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a win on their travels in the EFL Cup. The Blues made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 23rd minute when Alexander Isak found the back of the net for the Magpies. Axel Disasi scored an unfortunate own goal just three minutes later as Enzo Maresca’s men trailed 2-0 at the half-time interval.
