Real Madrid will entertain Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Saturday night as they hope to secure a good result at home in La Liga. Los Blancos suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss at the hands of Lille recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways this weekend.
Carlo Ancelotti will set his side up in a 4-4-2 formation and could name a strong first team for this clash. Kylian Mbappe is expected to play from the start of this game alongside Rodrygo up top.
4-4-2 Real Madrid Predicted Lineup To Face Villarreal
Defence
Andriy Lunin will operate in between the sticks for Los Blancos after conceding one goal in his last appearance. Antonio Rudiger will resume his partnership with Aurelien Tchouameni at the centre of the Real Madrid backline as they look to keep a good shape on the defensive third of the pitch.
Dani Carvajal will try to impress as the right-back while Ferland Mendy looks to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Ancelotti would give both of them the freedom to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Fran Garcia will offer cover for the left-back position on the bench.
Midfield
Eduardo Camavinga and Federico Valverde will anchor the midfield for Real Madrid as they try to establish their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park. Vinicius Jr. will look to put his pace to good use on the left-wing while Jude Bellingham hopes to make a difference from the right flank. Both of them would try to get in behind the Villarreal backline so that they can create some inviting chances in the final third.
Arda Guler and Luka Modric will be named on the bench as they await their chance to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo will lead the line for the Madrid giants on the offensive end of the field. Both of them would be eager to find the back of the net this weekend.
Endrick would have to settle for a place on Ancelotti’s bench and might come on in the latter stages of the contest if needed.
