Aston Villa locked horns with Fulham at Craven Cottage earlier today as they looked to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Villans made a slow start to the contest as they conceded the opening goal in the fifth minute when Raul Jimenez found the back of the net. However, the visitors responded quickly and got themselves level thanks to Morgan Rogers’ strike just four minutes later. The two teams went into the half-time interval with a 1-1 scoreline.
OIlie Watkins gave his team the lead with a great header in the 59th minute before Joachim Andersen was sent off by the referee. Issa Diop scored an unfortunate own goal in the 69th minute. Jaden Philogene also saw red in injury time as the Villans secured an impressive 3-1 victory away from home.
