After a disastrous game against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United again crumbled. This time it was against Porto in the Europa League, where they had a 2-0 lead but had to settle for a 3-3 draw.
The Red Devils have their next game scheduled against Aston Villa at Villa Park. It will be a tough challenge for them considering how the Villans have been playing this season so far. This game could also be a decisive factor for Erik ten Hag’s future at the Old Trafford.
4-2-3-1 Manchester United Predicted Lineup Vs Aston Villa
Defence
Andre Onana was brilliant with his saves in the last two games. He will be donning the gloves once again for the Red Devils. No change at the right-back spot as Noussair Mazraoui continues to play there.
Neither Matthijs de Ligt nor Lisandro Martinez was convincing enough against Porto. Hence, one of these two is expected to line up with the last match’s saviours, Harry Maguire, to form the heart of the defender. Diogo Dalot continues as the left-back but needs to step up his game immediately.
Midfield
Kobbie Mainoo will be assessed before the game against Aston Villa. His participation in the training is a signal that he might be fit to start this tie. He will certainly have the company of Manuel Ugarte in the middle of the park.
Attack
Marcus Rashford was having a brilliant game against Porto before he was taken off at half-time. He should be operating on the left flank with Alejandro Garnacho taking care of the other side of the field. Bruno Fernandes is also available for this game after Manchester United’s appeal for the red card was accepted. However, Bruno needs to be careful and take more responsibility on the field to help his side.
Joshua Zirkzee is likely to lead the offensive line.
