According to Italian outlet Milan Live, Manchester United are interested in signing AC Milan attacker Christian Pulisic next year. The Premier League club are even preparing a bid worth €55 million to lure away the player to Old Trafford.
Christian Pulisic is peaking at the right time
Christian Pulisic started his professional career at Borussia Dortmund before switching to Chelsea in 2019. After a solid start, he saw a diminishing curve which forced him to move to AC Milan last summer. Luckily, he started hitting the ground and rejuvenated his career.
Pulisic was brilliant in the 2023-24 season where he scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists in 50 games. He averaged 1.8 shots, 1.2 key passes, and 1.3 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored). Despite all the efforts, the Italian side ended in third position in the domestic league.
The USA international is versatile to play on both the wings as well as in the middle of the attack. He is known for his strong finishing skills and excellent passes. He is also energetic on the field, pressing the opponents and tracking back to defend.
Christian Pulisic can be a quality signing
Manchester United’s interest in Christian Pulisic is understandable. Despite having invested so much in the offensive players, they still lack quality in the final third. Though Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho are promising talents, they still need more time to solidify their respective positions.
In that regard, the pursuit of Pulisic makes sense considering his high qualities and prior Premier League experience. His versatility and effectiveness in the offensive line will add a lot of value.
The 26-year-old is hitting the peak of his powers and still has many years to devote. However, it remains to be seen if Manchester United will be able to pull off the signing or not. AC Milan might demand more than €55 million to sell their hot property.
