According to Fichajes, Premier League club Manchester United are considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) attacker Randal Kolo Muani in the 2025 summer transfer window as they look to bolster their offensive unit.
Randal Kolo Muani couldn’t justify the hype
Randal Kolo Muani came into the limelight during his stint at Eintracht Frankfurt when he was netting goals for fun. Hence, PSG invested a massive €95 million to sign him last summer keeping his bright future in mind.
However, the move hasn’t brought as much success as anticipated. Muani has struggled to deliver the goods consistently as he had only 12 goals and six assists in 44 games. He averaged 0.8 shots, 1 key pass, and 1.1 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The French attacker can play in any position in the front line as he has the pace, strength, and explosiveness. He is a good dribbler complimented well by clinical finishing skills. He exploits the spaces well and keeps the defenders on their toes.
Randal Kolo Muan is a risky bet
Manchester United already have the likes of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at their disposal but they still lack firepower up front. As the club continues to plan for the future, they have their eyes set on Randal Kolo Mauni.
The 25-year-old hasn’t settled well in Ligue 1 yet and would be willing to make a switch. His clinicalness and versatility in the final third will surely add value to the Red Devils’ unit. However, it could be a risky bet considering the high finances involved.
As per the report, Manchester United are ready to invest €70 million to land Mauni at Old Trafford next year. From PSG’s point of view, they should be happy with the offer as it will allow them to invest in any other talent.
