As reported by Caught Offside, Liverpool are now open to listening offers for Wataru Endo after the player desired his will to leave Anfield. However, the Premier League club will only entertain the bid in the range of €15-20 million.
Wataru Endo isn’t getting enough game time
Wataru Endo arrived at Liverpool last summer for a fee of £16 million. He made an impressive start under Jurgen Klopp and made significant contributions. He featured in 44 games and scored three goals apart from having one assist to his name.
Endo was used as the deep-lying midfielder which allowed his teammates to go higher on the pitch. He would work on his positioning and provide an extra layer of defence.
However, the Japanese’s role has seen a diminishing curve this season as Ryan Gravenberch is the preferred choice for new boss Arne Slot. Endo has managed to get only around 90 minutes across four appearances this season so far.
Wataru Endo wants to play regularly
Disappointed with his situation, Wataru Endo is now open to leaving Liverpool. He wants to play regularly as he is already 31 and doesn’t have too many years left at the highest level.
The Reds will not come in between and are reportedly open to listening offers for him. However, they expect the interested party to pay somewhere around €15-20 million considering the fact that the player is a proven name and can be a valuation acquisition.
Earlier, the likes of Fulham, Wolves, and Ipswich Town were keen on signing the Japanese midfielder. It will be interesting to see if they will return with their interest or not. On the other hand, Liverpool might not prefer selling the experienced player in the January window as the season is long and they might need him in the latter half of the campaign.
