Newcastle United will welcome Brighton and Hove Albion at St. James’ Park this Saturday afternoon as they try to collect all three points at home in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to grind out a scoreless draw away at Everton before the international break. Therefore, the Tyneside club would be eager to get back to winning ways against the Seagulls this weekend.
Eddie Howe will opt for the 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make some changes to his first team for this game. Both Alexander Isak, who is a major doubt for this clash, and Tino Livramento might play from the start of this clash.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
Nick Pope will play in goal for the Magpies after securing a clean sheet in his last league outing. Dan Burn will continue to operate alongside Fabian Schar at the centre of the Newcastle backline as they hope to keep a good shape on the defensive end of the pitch.
Tino Livramento would try to prove his worth as the right-back while Lewis Hall hopes to give a good account of himself on the other side as the left-back. Howe would give both of them the freedom to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Kieran Trippier is unlikely to recover in time for this game because of a hamstring injury. However, Emil Krafth will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Joelinton, Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali will make up Newcastle’s midfield as they look to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park.
Joe Willock and Sean Longstaff will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Harvey Barnes would try to catch the eye on the left flank while Anthony Gordon looks to make a difference as the right-winger. Alexander Isak is a major concern ahead of this game due to a foot injury. The Swedish striker should still get the nod to lead the line for the Magpies if he can pass a late fitness test.
Miguel Almiron will have to be content with a place on the bench.
