In a recent report, Kontra Spor mentioned that Everton are planning to launch a move for Besiktas winger Semih Kilicsoy. It has been claimed that the Toffees are eyeing a move to bring the Turkish youngster to Goodison Park next year.
Kilicsoy’s Impressive Form In Turkish Football
Kilicsoy has caught the eye at times with his performances on the left side of Besiktas’ attack. The 19-year-old has picked up four assists in 11 matches for the Turkish club this season across various competitions.
The talented teenager has managed to shine at times on the offensive end of the field as he is averaging 0.7 shots, 0.7 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per game in the Turkish Super Lig. He has even been careful when distributing possession in the final third based on his pass success rate of 79.1% in the Turkish first division (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the Turkish club will expire in the summer of 2028 which could make it difficult for the Toffees to sign him on the cheap next year.
Everton Are Planning To Launch A Move For Kilicsoy: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Kilicsoy can make a few dangerous runs with the ball on the left flank. He has got the eye to play some clever passes in the final third and can strike the ball with power from long range.
The Turkish sensation can contribute by picking up his fair share of assists but needs to find a way to add some goals to his game. He mainly operates as a left-sided wide player but can also play as a centre-forward if told to do so by his manager.
Kilicsoy is already good enough to compete for a regular first-team place at Everton. We can expect him to enhance the quality of Sean Dyche’s attack. The Turkish talent might even help the Toffees compete for a top-half finish in the Premier League over the next few years.
At 19, Kilicsoy has the potential to be a future star in English football. There is no doubt that he is a prospect to watch out for in the future. All in all, the Merseyside club should focus on trying everything they can to get him on board in 2025.
