Tottenham Hotspur will face off against Ferencvaros at the Groupama Aréna this Thursday evening as they look to secure a positive result on the road in the UEFA Europa League. Spurs managed to earn an impressive 3-0 win away at Manchester United recently which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this midweek clash in Europe.
Ange Postecoglu will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a lot of changes to his first XI for this game. Ben Davies, Archie Gray and Yves Bissouma could all get a chance to play from the start of this clash.
4-3-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup To Face Ferencvaros
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario will feature in between the sticks for the North London club after keeping a clean sheet in his last outing. Cristian Romero will function alongside Micky van de Ven at the heart of the Tottenham backline as they look to keep things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Archie Gray could get a chance to impress as the right-back while Ben Davies hopes to give a good account of himself on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and express themselves in the opponent’s half.
Pedro Porro and Radu Dragusin will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Lucas Bergvall, Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr will make up Tottenham’s midfield as they look to win the 50-50 duels in the middle of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they are to engineer enough clear-cut chances for Spurs to win this European clash in midweek.
James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski will be rested on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Timo Werner will get a chance to catch the eye on the left flank while Brennan Johnson hopes to make a difference as the right-winger. Dominic Solanke will spearhead Tottenham’s attack up top. He has to find a way to be a constant menace in and around the opponent’s penalty area.
Heung-min Son will miss this game due to injury.
