West Ham United will face off against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Saturday afternoon as they focus on securing a good result on the road in the London derby. The Hammers managed to secure a dominant 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town before the international break which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Julen Lopetegui will set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Thus, Michail Antonio will once again spearhead West Ham’s attack up top.
4-3-3 West Ham United Predicted Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur
Defence
Alphonse Areola will feature in goal for the East London club after conceding one goal in his last league appearance. Max Kilman will continue to operate alongside Jean-Clair Todibo at the centre of the West Ham defence as they try to keep the home team frustrated during the 90 minutes.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka will fill in as the right-back while Emerson Palmieri looks to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them will have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Konstantinos Mavropanos and Aaron Cresswell will be named on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Lucas Paqueta, Guido Rodriguez and Tomas Soucek will anchor the midfield for the Hammers as they try to put in a good performance collectively in the middle of the park. Lopetegui will ask them to offer decent protection for the West Ham backline and try to engineer some clear-cut chances on the counter.
Carlos Soler and Edson Alvarez will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Mohammed Kudus will try to put his pace to good use on the left wing while Jarrod Bowen looks to catch the eye as the right-sided wide player. Michail Antonio will lead the charge for the East London club in the final third. He has to find a way to cause some problems for the Tottenham defenders this Saturday afternoon.
Crysencio Summerville and Danny Ings will make up the numbers on the bench.
