Liverpool will entertain Nottingham Forest at Anfield this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a comfortable 3-0 win over Manchester United before the international break which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.
Arne Slot will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to keep changes to a minimum for this game. Therefore, Diogo Jota will once again lead the charge for the Merseyside club up top.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Nottingham Forest
Defence
Alisson Becker will function in goal for the Merseyside club after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Virgil Van Dijk will play alongside Ibrahima Konate at the centre of the Liverpool backline as they hope to keep things solid at the back during the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will play as the right-back while Andrew Robertson hopes to prove his worth on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Joe Gomez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai will make up Liverpool’s midfield as they focus on establishing their dominance over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to move the ball well if they are to engineer some decent chances for their teammates up top.
Wataru Endo will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to catch the eye on the left flank while Mohamed Salah hopes to make a difference on the right wing. Diogo Jota will spearhead Slot’s attack up top. The Portuguese talent would be keen on getting his name on the scoresheet after failing to do so versus Man United.
Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo will have to be content with a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the latter stages if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
