Barcelona will clash heads with Girono at the Estadi Montilivi this Sunday as they try to secure a good result on their travels in La Liga. The Catalan club thrashed Real Valladolid 7-0 in their last league outing which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.
Hansi Flick will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could keep changes to a minimum for his clash. Hence, both Raphinha and Lamine Yamal should continue to operate as Flick’s wide players this weekend.
4-2-3-1 Barcelona Predicted Lineup To Face Girona
Defence
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will operate in between the sticks for the Catalan club after keeping a clean sheet in his last league outing. Pau Cubarsi will continue to play alongside Inigo Martinez at the centre of the Barca defence as they try to keep the Girona attackers quiet during the game.
Jules Kounde will function as the right-back while Alejandro Balde hopes to give a good account of himself on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the freedom to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Eric Garcia will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Marc Casado and Pedri will operate as Barcelona’s holding midfielders as they look to dominate the flow of the game at the centre of the park. The gifted trio of Raphinha, Dani Olmo and Lamine Yamal will function just ahead of them as part of Flick’s attack. All three of them enjoyed a good run of form before the international break and would be expected to make a difference in this La Liga clash
Pablo Torre will be named on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the Catalan giants in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after doing so in the win over Real Valladolid recently.
Ferran Torres will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages of the game if required.
