Newcastle United have got a good start to the 2024-25 season. They have two wins and a draw in three games in the Premier League so far. Their latest victory came against Tottenham Hotspur before the international break, which will give them a lot of confidence.
The Magpies have their next challenge against Wolves in the form of an away fixture this weekend. It will be a crucial game for them considering the momentum they would be carrying. Fans can expect a good 90 minutes between the two concerned sides.
4-3-3 Newcastle United Predicted Lineup vs Wolves
Defence
Nick Pope made some good saves against Tottenham Hotspur. However, he was regularly caught due to his bad footwork. He cannot be relied on when it comes to building attacks from the back. Right-back Tino Livramento looked decent and should continue in the lineup.
Fabian Schar is available for this tie after having served a three-match ban. He should partner up with Dan Burn at the centre of the defence. It means Emil Krafth will start on the bench. Lloyd Kelly was brilliant and there’s no doubt over his selection as the left-back.
Midfield
Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton are likely to get retained in the midfield positions. However, Eddie Howe can make a change by bringing Sandro Tonali in place of Sean Longstaff, who had a disastrous night against Spurs.
Attack
There is no change in the offensive line as Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes take care of the flanks with Alexander Isak operating in the middle. Gordon didn’t have an impactful game and needs to step up his game with his performance against Wolves.
Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles are both sidelined due to injuries.
