Barcelona locked horns with Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica earlier this evening as they focused on securing maximum points on the road in La Liga. The Catalan giants made a great start to the game as they scored the opening goal in the 20th minute when Robert Lewandowski found the back of the net. Lewandowski doubled Barca’s advantage in the 35th minute before Ayoze Perez got a goal back for the home side just three minutes later. Hansi Flick’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.
Pablo Torre scored his team’s third goal in the 58th minute before Raphinha put Barca 4-1 up in the 74th minute. Raphinha added another goal just nine minutes later as the Catalan giants cruised to a dominant 5-1 win away from home.
