According to Croatian outlet Germanijak, Manchester United are keeping tabs on Dinamo Zagreb attacker Martin Baturina. The Premier League club even sent their scouts recently to watch the player in action during the international break.
Martin Baturina is extremely talented
Martin Baturina came through the ranks of Dinamo Zagreb and made his senior team debut in 2021. Since then, he has been an integral part of the side. He appears regularly in the starting lineup and is set to be offered a new lucrative deal by the club.
Baturina was instrumental in Dinamo Zagreb’s league title victory last season. He featured in 51 games, netting eight goals and providing nine assists. He also dropped impressive performances for his national side Croatia during the recent international break.
The Croatian player can play the role of an attacking midfielder, operate on either wing or be deployed as a striker. He is extremely skilful in tight spaces and creates good chances for his teammates. He is often compared to his countryman Luka Modric for a similar playing style.
Martin Baturina can be a future star
Manchester United recently finished a busy summer window but they are in no mood to rest. The club have already started their preparations for next season as they identified more talents to target. One of the names that have emerged is Martin Baturina.
The Red Devils admire Baturina’s versatility and huge potential. They believe the player has all the qualities to transfer into an elite name in the coming years. Should he continue to develop his game further, he can serve any top-tier club.
Leeds United had offered around £25m for the player but Dinamo Zagreb rejected the bid. It means that Manchester United will have to offer a lucrative amount to convince both the parties. For now, the Croatian club are considering offering a new long-term contract to Baturina, making him one of the highest-paid players in the club.
