As reported by HITC, Manchester City are impressed with Red Bull Salzburg defender Samson Baidoo’s progress. The Premier League club even sent their scouts to watch the player in action and were left surprised by his qualities.
Who is Samson Baidoo?
Samson Baidoo came through the ranks of Red Bull Salzburg. His impressive performances at the youth level opened the doors for the senior team. It’s been a while since he established himself as a reliable player on the team sheet.
Baidoo featured in 23 games last season, netting twice and assisting once. He averaged 1.8 tackles and 2.2 clearances per game (stats via whoscored). He made his international debut for Austria last year in the Euro Cup 2024 qualifying ground.
The Austrian centre-back provides a high work rate and is a physically tough defender. He likes to progress high on the pitch with the ball whenever possible. He is excellent at passing including sending lofted and through balls to initiate attacks.
