Liverpool clashed heads with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to secure a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Reds made a solid start to the game and got their noses ahead in the first half injury-time thanks to Ibrahima Konate’s header. Arne Slot’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
The Merseyside club gifted Wolves the equaliser in the 56th minute when Rayan Ait-Nouri pounced on the loose ball after a breakdown in communication between the Liverpool defenders and scored from close range. However, Mohamed Salah restored Liverpool’s lead just five minutes later from the penalty spot. The match ended with the Merseyside giants earning a narrow 2-1 win away from home.
