Everton will entertain Crystal Palace at Goodison Park this Saturday afternoon as they look to secure a win at home in the Premier League. The Toffees were held to a 1-1 draw away at Leicester City recently, so they would be eager to pick up all three points this weekend.
Sean Dyche will set his players up in a 4-4-1-1 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first XI for this game. Jack Harrison and Vitality Mykolenko could get a chance to play from the start of this contest.
4-4-1-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Crystal Palace
Defence
Jordan Pickford will play in between the sticks for the Toffees after conceding one goal in his last league appearance. James Tarkowski will function alongside Michael Keane at the centre of the Everton backline as they look to keep the opposition attackers frustrated throughout the game.
James Garner will fill in as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will have to keep a good defensive shape inside their half and try to offer some decent support to the front players.
Jake O’Brien will offer cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.
Midfield
Idrissa Gueye, who is a major doubt for this game, will anchor the midfield alongside Eliaquim Mangala as they look to win the 50-50 battles at the centre of the park. Iliman Ndiaye will function as the left-sided wide player while Jack Harrison looks to give a good account of himself on the right flank.
Dwight McNeil will operate in the number ten position and is expected to carry most of the creative workload for the Toffees in the opponent’s half.
Jesper Lindstrom and Abdoulaye Doucoure will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the charge for Everton up top. The English striker has to find a way to be a potent threat in front of the Palace goal.
Beto will make up the numbers on the bench as he waits for his opportunity to shine in the final quarter of the game if needed.
