Celtic entertained Slovan Bratislava at Celtic Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Glaswegian outfit made a quick start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 17th minute when Liam Scales got his name on the scoresheet. Brendan Rodgers’ men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Kyogo Furuhashi doubled his team’s advantage in the 47th minute before Arne Engels made it 3-0 to Celtic from the penalty spot in the 56th minute. However, the visitors got a goal back thanks to Kevin Wimmer’s effort just four minutes later. Daizen Maeda scored his team’s fourth goal in the 70th minute. Adam Idah came on and scored in the 86th minute as Celtic cruised to a dominant 5-1 victory at Celtic Park.
