After a thumping 4-0 win against Everton, Tottenham Hotspur suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Newcastle United. Their latest defeat must have put them in a position to deeply think about the strategies and focus on executing them on the field.
Spurs’ next clash is against ruthless Arsenal at home this weekend. The international break must have allowed them to get rid of the previous results and give a new start. They have managed to accumulate only four points in three games so far.
4-2-3-1 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup vs Arsenal
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario looked dejectedly after leaking two goals against the Magpies. However, he couldn’t have done much about them. It’s time to focus on the next game when he takes the gloves. Right-back Pedro Porro was decent and was retained in the side.
While Cristian Romero continues to serve as a centre-back, Micky van de Ven is likely to return benching Radu Dragusin. Destiny Udogie looked shaky as the left-back but might get another chance this weekend.
Midfield
Yves Bissouma suffered a knock on international duty but should be fit to start this tie. To accompany him in the middle of the park, Pape Matar Sarr is the definite choice. Rodrigo Bentancur has been charged by FA and it’s still unclear whether he will be able to participate on Sunday or not.
Attack
If Dominic Solanke fails to get the green light from the medical team, Heung-min Son will operate on the left flank. Wilson Odobert takes care of the right wing with James Maddison operating in the middle.
Dejan Kulusevski should be leading the offensive line. Though he made good in behind runs, he wasn’t effective with his finishing in the final third. He has to be sharp against the Gunners and must bury the chances.
