Liverpool will lock horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium this Saturday as they hope to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Reds secured a dominant 5-1 win over West Ham United in the EFL Cup recently which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.
Arne Slot will once again set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make a handful of changes to his first team for this clash. Mohamed Salah, Luiz Diaz and Virgil Van Dijk are all expected to play from the start of this game.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Wolves
Defence
Caoimhin Kelleher will once again play in between the sticks for the Merseyside club after conceding one goal in his last outing. Virgil Van Dijk will resume his defensive partnership with Ibrahima Konate as they look to keep things solid on the defensive end of the field.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a nailed-on starter as the right-back while Andy Robertson hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and express themselves in the final third.
Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Slot will opt for a midfield three of Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch and Dominik Szoboszlai as they look to dictate the tempo of the game at the centre of the park. Szoboszlai would get the freedom to make some late runs into the opponent’s penalty area in support of the front players.
Curtis Jones will have to settle for a spot on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Luis Diaz will get a chance to impress as the left-winger while Mohamed Salah hopes to make a difference from the right. Diogo Jota will lead the charge for the Merseyside club in the final third.
Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the latter stages if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
