Manchester City will lock horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium this Saturday as they look to secure a victory on their travels in the Premier League. The Mancunian club earned a dominant 4-1 win over Ipswich Town recently, so they would be full of confidence ahead of this game this weekend.
Pep Guardiola will set his players up in a 3-3-1-3 formation and is expected to make some tweaks to his first XI for this game. Rodri and Phil Foden are both expected to play from the start of this clash.
3-3-1-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup To Face West Ham United
Defence
Ederson will play in between the sticks for the Mancunian club after shipping in one goal in his last outing. Josko Gvardiol, Ruben Dias and Manuel Akanji will function as Guardiola’s primary centre-backs as they look to keep the West Ham attackers quiet throughout the game.
Nathan Ake and Kyle Walker will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Bernardo Silva, Rodri and Rico Lewis will operate as the holding midfielders as they look to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them need to be at their best if they want to engineer some inviting chances in the final third.
Phil Foden will get a chance to express himself in the number ten position. He would have to carry most of the creative workload for Man City up top.
Kevin de Bruyne could get a rest on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second half if needed.
Attack
Jeremy Doku will try to give a good account of himself on the left flank while Savinho hopes to get a chance to impress on the right wing. Erling Haaland will lead the charge for the Mancunian giants in the final third. He would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet after bagging a hattrick in his last league appearance.
Jack Grealish will have to settle for a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if Man City are in need of a goal by then.
