According to Daily Mirror, Manchester United are willing to hijack Liverpool’s move for Giorgi Mamardashvili this summer. However, the former club will have to first raise funds by offloading Jadon Sancho before attempting to steal the player.
Giorgi Mamardashvili’s journey so far
Giorgi Mamardashvili joined Valencia in the summer of 2021. Impressed by his pre-season performances, the club decided to allot him the primary goalkeeper role. The decision turned out to be accurate as the player continued his strong displays.
Mamardashvili has been a solid performer for the Spanish club between the sticks. He is reliable and an integral part of the side. He appeared in 37 games last season, keeping 13 clean sheets while conceding 41 goals in the process.
The Georgian shot-stopper is known for his strong hands and quick reflexes. He remains calm under pressure and commands his area really well. As he stands over 6 feet, he has immense reach apart from being a decent distributor of the ball.
Can Manchester United sell Jadon Sancho?
