According to BILD, Manchester City are considering acquiring the services of Bayern Munich attacker Kingsley Coman this summer as they look to bolster the offensive unit. However, the Premier League club might opt for a loan move rather than a permanent signing.
Kingsley Coman is an established player
After representing PSG and Juventus, Kingsley Coman signed for Bayern Munich in the summer of 2015. Since then, he has been a solid performer for the German club. He has established himself as a reliable name, contributing immensely to the club’s success.
Coman featured in 27 games last season, netting five goals and assisting three. He averaged 1.8 shots, 1.4 key passes, and 1.8 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The Frenchman is a complete attacker who can feature on both wings. He is fast, technically sound, and can dribble or provide accurate passes. With the ability to score long-range and give the finishing touches, he is always a threat to the opponents.
Kingsley Coman can help Manchester City
Manchester City are interested in having Kingsley Coman at their disposal as Bayern Munich are willing to sanction his departure this summer. The former club are anyway in the hunt for a replacement for Julian Alvarez, who has left for Atletico Madrid.
Coman could actually be a good addition to Pep Guardiola‘s side as both of them have worked with each other previously. The winger understands the Spanish manager’s system and would require less time to adapt to the team.
Given the 28-year-old’s experience and ability to feature on both the wings, Manchester City will love having him. His creativity in the final third will surely help them add more goals upfront. However, instead of signing him on a permanent deal, the English outfit might prefer a loan agreement.
Coman currently earns €20 million per season and it will be interesting to see if the Citizens are willing to sign him or not.
