Manchester City entertained Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium earlier today as they looked to grab all three points at home in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola‘s side made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Sammie Szmodics found the back of the net for the visitors. However, Man City came roaring back as they equalised thanks to Erling Haaland’s penalty in the 12th minute. Kevin De Bruyne gave Man City the lead just a couple of minutes later before Haaland scored again in the 14th minute. The home team managed to get to the half-time break 3-1 up on the scoreline.
Man City controlled the contest well in the second 45 minutes. Haaland completed his hattrick in the 88th minute as Guardiola’s men earned an impressive 4-1 victory at the Etihad.
