Chelsea will welcome Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge this Sunday as they try to secure a positive result in the London derby. The Blues managed to earn a morale-boosting 6-2 win in their last Premier League game which should give them some confidence going into this game.
Enzo Maresca will set his players up in a 4-3-3 formation and could make a few changes to his first-team for this game. Malo Gusto will play from the start of this clash after being rested in midweek.
4-3-3 Chelsea Predicted Lineup To Face Crystal Palace
Defence
Robert Sanchez will feature in between the sticks for the West London club after conceding twice in his last league appearance. Levi Colwill will continue to function alongside Wesley Fofana at the centre of the Chelsea backline as they focus on keeping a good shape on the defensive end of the field.
Malo Gusto is expected to return to the right-back spot while Marc Cucurella hopes to impress on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them would have to pick and choose their moments to join in on the attack.
Benoit Badiashile will offer cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will make up Maresca’s midfield as they focus on establishing their dominance over the visitors in the middle of the park. All three of them would have to find a way to move the ball well and create some inviting chances for their teamamtes to score.
Renato Veiga will have to be content with a spot on the bench and might come to make an impact in the second half if needed.
Attack
Noni Madueke bagged a hattrick versus Wolves and would be a nailed-on starter on the left flank. Cole Palmer would try to make a difference for Chelsea as the right-winger while Nicolas Jackson once again spearheads their attack down the middle. Both of them need to link up with each other well so that the Blues can engineer enough chances to win this London derby.
Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk will be available for selection on the bench as they wait for their chance to influence the game in the latter stages if Chelsea are in need of a goal by then.
