Manchester City will entertain Ipswich Town at the Etihad Stadium this Saturday as they try to secure all three points at home in the Premier League. The Mancunian giants managed to earn a solid 2-0 win away at Chelsea recently, so they would be full of confidence heading into this game.
Pep Guardiola will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make one change to his first team for this contest. Phil Foden will get a chance to impress from the start of this game while Jack Grealish once again settles for a spot on the bench.
4-3-3 Manchester City Predicted Lineup To Face Ipswich Town
Defence
Ederson will continue to operate in goal for Man City after keeping a clean sheet against Chelsea in his last outing. Ruben Dias will play alongside Manuel Akanji at the heart of Guardiola’s defence as they look to secure another shutout this weekend.
Rico Lewis will get another chance to impress as the right-back while Josko Gvardiol hopes to catch the eye on the other flank as the left-back. Both of them will get the license to get forward and join in on the attack at every chance they get.
Kyle Walker and John Stones will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic and Kevin de Bruyne will make up Guardiola’s midfield as they look to dominate possession and engineer a lot of clear-cut chances for their teammates up top.
Matheus Nunes will have to be content with a spot on the bench as he waits for his opportunity to influence the game in the second half if required.
Attack
Jeremy Doku would be eager to put in a decent display on the left wing while Phil Foden gets a chance to shine as the right-sided wide player. Erling Haaland will once again lead the charge for Man City up top. The Norwegian striker managed to score last weekend which should keep him in good spirits going into this game against Ipswich Town.
Savio is a major doubt for this game because of a knee problem. However, Jack Grealish would be available for selection on the bench and might come on in the final quarter of the match if needed.
