In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke stated that Everton are eyeing a move for Almeria winger Largie Ramazani this summer. It has been claimed that the Toffees are showing interest in recruiting the Belgian wide player this off-season.
Ramazani’s Impressive Form In Spanish Football
Ramazani caught the eye at times on the left side of Almeria’s attack in the previous campaign. The 23-year-old did well to score four goals and pick up five assists in 31 appearances for the Spanish outfit last season across all competitions.
The Belgian talent was a reliable performer in the final third based on his average of 1.4 shots, 0.9 key passes and 1.1 dribbles per game in La Liga. However, he lacked quality when distributing the ball in the opponent’s half after making 64.4% of his attempted passes in the Spanish top tier (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at Almeria will expire at the end of next season which could open the door for the Toffees to get a deal done for him on the cheap this month.
What Will Ramazani Add To Everton Boss Sean Dyche’s Side?
Ramazani can engineer some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He can make some promising runs with the ball as well out in the wide areas. The Belgian talent can even create the odd chance for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.
Ramazani is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if asked to do so. We can expect him to add more quality to Everton head coach Sean Dyche’s attack.
At 23, Ramazani has his best years ahead of him and could prove to be a good addition to the Merseyside club‘s squad in the long run. He has what it takes to fight for regular first-team football at Goodison Park next season.
Therefore, Dyche would be wise to try everything in his power to get Ramazani on board before the end of this transfer window. However, the jury is still out on whether the Belgian sensation can cope with the physical side and high intensity of Premier League football if Everton manage to land him this summer.
