4-4-1-1 Everton Predicted Lineup To Face Brighton
Defence
Jordan Pickford will operate in between the sticks for the Toffees as he tries to secure a clean sheet in front of the home fans. Jake O’Brien will resume his defensive partnership with James Tarkowski at the centre of the Everton backline as they hope to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Ashley Young will fill in as the right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko looks to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them need to keep things tidy defensively and try to support the front players from the flanks.
Mason Holgate will be named on the bench as he provides cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Idrissa Gueye and Tim Iroegbunam will anchor the midfield for Everton as they look to win the 50-50 battles in the middle of the park. Dwight McNeil will try to cause some problems for the opposition on the left flank while Jack Harrison tries to give a good account of himself as the right-winger.
Abdoulaye Doucoure will once again function as an attacking midfielder as he looks to use his energy and running to cause some chaos in the Brighton half.
Iliman Ndiaye will have to be content with a place on the bench as he waits for his chance to shine in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the line for the Toffees up top. The English talent would be eager to get his name on the scoresheet and get this campaign off to a flying start for Everton this weekend.
Beto will make up the numbers on the bench.
