In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Aston Villa are determined to recruit Barcelona winger Raphinha this summer. It has been claimed that the Villans are eyeing a move to bring the Brazilian wide player to Villa Park this month.
Raphinha’s Impressive Record At The Nou Camp Last Season
Raphinha enjoyed an impressive campaign at the Catalan club recently after he put in a series of productive displays for them in the final third. The Brazilian wing wizard featured in 37 matches for Barca last season, scoring ten times and picking up 13 assists in various competitions.
The 27-year-old was a reliable presence out in the wide areas as he averaged 2.1 shots, 1.5 key passes and 0.9 dribbles per game in La Liga. He was even careful with his ball distribution in the opponent’s half based on his pass success rate of 80.9% in the Spanish top flight (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at Barcelona will expire in the summer of 2027 which could make it tough for the Villans to sign him on a cut-price deal before the end of this transfer period.

Raphinha has got the pace to cause a lot of trouble for his marker out on the flanks. He is a great dribbler with the ball and can create some meaningful openings for his teammates on the offensive end of the field.
