Manchester City Are Leading Race To Sign West Ham United Prodigy: One For The Future?

Manchester City have done excellent work in sporting as well as business part at the youth level. While they have nourished some world-class players, they have also ensured to make profits out of the talents by selling them to other top clubs.

In the latest move, the Citizens have set their eyes on West Ham United Academy product Xavier Parker. According to renowned transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League champions are the favourites to land the youngster this summer.

Xavier Parker is a promising talent

Xavier Parker is one of the best talents available at present in the West Ham United Academy. He is a very promising player, who can turn into an elite name should he continue his development. He currently plays in the midfield position.

Parker is rated highly in England and he was promoted to the U18 side last season. However, he didn’t get as many opportunities as he would have liked to get. Hence, he is willing to make a switch in the summer to get more game time.

Manchester City are ahead of Arsenal

Manchester City have been handling their operations with utmost excellence over the past decade. They are always in hunt of England’s best talents. Last season alone, they made a profit of 70 million just by selling Cole Palmer to Chelsea.

Now the Citizens are ready to script another story with Xavier Parker. They will look to integrate Parker into their U18 side or something. They will nourish him and help him convert his talent into performances. When he starts hitting the ground, the club will either use him in the senior side or offload him to raise funds.

Though Arsenal are also in the race for the youngster, Manchester City are in pole position to land the player home this summer.
