In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has agreed to join Real Madrid this summer. It is believed that the Canadian talent has his heart set on a move to the Madrid club.
Davies’ Decent Form In The Bundesliga Last Season
The 23-year-old proved his worth as a capable presence on the left side of the Bayern Munich backline last season. Davies netted three goals and picked up six assists in 42 appearances for the Bavarian outfit in the previous campaign across various competitions.
The Canadian defender was a reliable performer on the left flank and did well to average 1.6 tackles, 0.9 interceptions, 1.3 clearances, 1.3 key passes and 2.4 dribbles per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has even distributed possession accurately from the back based on his pass success rate of 88.9% in the German top tier (stats via whoscored).
Davies is under contract at the Bavarian club will expire at the end of next season which could give Los Blancos a chance to sign him on a cut-price deal in this transfer window.
