Lionel Messi’s bodyguard, Yassine Chueko, went viral on social media recently after he raced to his client’s rescue in a recent Major League Soccer match. Chueko was seen running to the pitch to tackle the intruder which has now been seen by many football fans on various social media platforms.
Many fans saw Mr. Chueko sprint to the field to take down an intruder who posed with Messi for a quick selfie before being tackled down.
Messi is still among the most well-known football players in the world. Hence, it is no surprise that he has hired a capable bodyguard of Chueko’s experience to protect him at all times.
The Inter Miami star is having a fine campaign in Major League Soccer as he has put in a lot of impressive displays for them on the offensive end of the field. Messi has banged in 14 goals and picked up 11 assists in 15 matches for his current employers this season in all competitions.
The Argentine superstar is currently preparing himself to represent his nation in the Copa America which is set to kick off in the United States of America later this month.
Messi hired Chueko as his bodyguard following a personal recommendation by Inter Miami club president David Beckham. As we can see in the video below, Mr. Chueko has not let his high-profile client down by taking his job seriously, even during a Major League Soccer game.
Chueko is a former US soldier who served in Iraq and Afghanistan as a NAVY seal. He has over 100,000 followers on Instagram and usually posts pictures and videos of his boxing and martial arts training routines.
Chueko has participated in quite a few MMA fights in the past.
