Ronald Koeman has gone ‘full Joachim Low’ on camera as fans were left amused by a recent incident in UEFA Euro 2024.
A moment from the Volksparkstadion dugout from Sunday afternoon’s Euro 2024 group stage contest between the Netherlands and Poland has gone viral on social media. The Dutch managed to earn all three points in their Group D match after a late winner from Wout Weghorst. It was a far-from-convincing showing from Ronald Koeman’s men, as they conceded an early goal Adam Buka found the back of the net. However, a goal each from Cody Gakpo and Weghorst gave the Netherlands a hard-fought 2-1 victory in Hamburg.
The Dutch are now set to face off against France and Austria in the UEFA Euro 2024 group stages. Away from all the action on the field, an incident on Norwegian TV channel NRK TV has gone viral across social media platforms. As seen on the footage below, Netherlands manager Ronald Koeman surprised a commentator during the segment as the camera panned towards the Netherlands’ dugout.

Koeman was quite positive after his team’s win as he said,
“In my opinion, there is not a big favourite, maybe the French team a little bit more than the rest because they have a lot of experience, they have won already big tournaments,” he said in a press conference.
“But I think it will be an open fight between different nations – and one of them is Holland.”
Netherlands captain Virgil Van Dijk was also hopeful of his team’s chances as he said,
“There are obviously very good teams around, obviously France, Germany, Portugal, England. But I think at a tournament, it can be totally different.
“Hopefully we can be at our best and be up there. That’s the aim and that’s what we’re going to fight for.”
Only time will tell whether the Dutch can end up winning the competition.
