According to Mirror, Liverpool are keen on signing Bayern Munich attacker Jamal Musiala in the summer transfer window. The new boss Arne Slot is keeping an eye on the German international and may force the club to get him ahead of next season.
Jamal Musiala is already a star
Jamal Musiala left Chelsea at the age of 16 to join Bayern Munich academy. Impressed by his performances at the youth setup, he was promoted to the senior team. Interestingly, he continued his progress over the years to establish himself as the next big thing in world football.
Musiala showcased his season-by-season improvement in this campaign. He featured in 38 games, netting 12 goals and providing eight assists. He averaged 2.3 shots, 1.3 key passes, and 3.4 dribbles per game (stats via whoscored).
The German attacker is rated highly because of his immense potential. He has crazy ball control which helps him in dribbling players like a cone. With accuracy passing and finishing skills, he is a valuable asset and is destined for greatness.
An open race for all participants
Despite adding numerous players to the unit, Liverpool’s midfield lacked some creativity. The club understand the need to bolster the area if they wish to win trophies next season. Hence, the alleged interest in Jamal Musiala is understandable.
Musiala’s creativity in the final third will help the side secure more goals. He can make an instant impact and can be a long-term investment. Even as per reports, the player is keen on leaving Bayern Munich as he rejected a contract renewal in March.
However, the Reds will have to participate in the race and eventually win it. Signing him won’t be a cheap affair as the German outfit will demand a premium fee. Apart from Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea are also keen on acquiring his services ahead of next season.
