England fans have been left worried about Jude Bellingham’s incident involving Phil Foden in the 1-0 win over Serbia recently. Supporters have noticed the moment when Bellingham ‘ignored’ Phil Foden in the Three Lions‘ narrow victory against Serbia in the UEFA Euro 2024.
The Real Madrid sensation scored the only goal of the contest as England managed to bag all three points in Gelsenkirchen. Jude Bellingham was praised for his performance on the day and was even named the man of the match.
However, Foden was criticised for struggling to get a foothold in the game. Despite a goal-less performance, some fans have come to the Manchester City playmaker’s rescue and highlighted the one instance where Bellingham opted against finding the 24-year-old. The situation came in the 67th minute when Bellingham was toying with Serbia’s Ivan Ilic.
What exactly was Foden called up to England for? That’s my main question.
If he can position himself and beg for the ball while being isolated like that and still not get it, what’s the point of calling him up? https://t.co/XoPg4wfTSK pic.twitter.com/KnUO3P2ox5

The England international managed to beat his man but couldn’t find Foden, who was screaming for the ball to be cut back. Bellingham’s decision-making has left a few England fans worried.
One supporter said: “What exactly was Foden called up to England for? That’s my main question. If he can position himself and beg for the ball while being isolated like that and still not get it, what’s the point of calling him up?”
A second fan added: “Jude was selfish on that spot.”
Another said: “3 men are free just outside the box. Why so many twist and turn and then a horrible cross? It’s a team sport not an individual sport
A fourth revealed: “This is why I refuse to believe Foden had a BAD GAME last night. This is just one of a hundred scenarios where he was available, but the players either didn’t have the ability to find him or just didn’t want to.”
A fifth supporter weighed in: “Example of Jude doing too much. 95% brilliance but if you’re looking for any improvement it’s to know when to involve others in the game and to also play to their strengths.”
