In a recent report, L’Equipe mentioned that Barcelona are keeping tabs on Le Havre winger Mohammed Hamony this summer. It has been claimed that the Catalan club are monitoring the progress of the Moroccan youngster.
Hamony’s Impressive Rise In French Football
Hamony has come through the youth ranks of Le Havre and deserves credit for establishing himself as an important member of their Under-19 team. However, the Moroccan talent is still waiting to make his first senior appearance for the French club.
The 17-year-old has caught the eye at times in the youth levels of French football. He has featured in 13 matches for Le Havre’s U-19 side so far, picking up one assist in various competitions.
His current contract at the French club will run out at the end of this month which could give the Catalan club a chance to land him on a free transfer this summer. At the moment, Hamony is amongst the best young players in Moroccan football, so it is no surprise that Barca are keeping a keen eye on his progress.
Barcelona Are Keeping Tabs On Hamony: Is He A Prospect For The Future?
Hamony can engineer some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few lively runs with the ball out on the flanks. The Moroccan sensation can even create the odd chance for his teammates to score. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to settle into life at the Nou Camp.
At 17, there is no denying that Hamony is a prospect to watch out for in the future. Hence, Barcelona boss Hansi Flick would be wise to get a deal done for him in this summer transfer window.
Hamony is on an expiring contract which makes him an affordable choice for the Catalan club to consider in the long run.
