Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz and his partner Alisha Lehmann are set to make a historic double transfer to Juventus this summer. Even though the Brazilian talent helped the Villans earn a top-four finish in the Premier League last season, he is being linked with a move away from Villa Park this off-season.
And now, Luiz‘s partner, Alisha Lehmann might seal a move to Juventus along with him. In a recent report, journalist Mauro Munno revealed that a potential switch would be linked with Luiz’s transfer but would not affect the Turin club’s budget for the women’s team this summer.
It is believed that Luiz has requested for such a transfer as it will be a historical marketing move that is close to “becoming a reality” this off-season.
Lehmann is expected to take up one of Juve women’s 10 foreign spots and could command a big salary as well. She is amongst the most popular female football players in the world and has over 16.6m followers on Instagram.
Earlier this year, Luiz opted to shed some light on their personal life and said,
“We do everything normal. We go to dinner when we want. I am more a home person anyway. But of course I do want to do some social things with her.
“Here in England everything is calm. If I go to the shop in Brazil it’s crazy, almost impossible. We have a good life here.”
At the moment, Luiz is training with the Brazilian national team ahead of their participation in the Copa American which will kick off in the United States of America later this month. He enjoyed a brilliant campaign at Villa Park last season when he scored ten goals and picked up ten assists in 53 appearances for Unai Emery’s side in all competitions.
Hence, it is no surprise that Juventus are showing interest in recruiting him and his partner as they would benefit them both on and off the field.
